The problem of finding the most appropriate, sophisticated or innovative approach, technology and method teaching English for specific purposes has always drawn specialists’ attention. Nowadays a promising graduate any educational institution is to be able establish professional communication not only in native language, but also foreign one. A military academy an exception. Peacekeeping operations, joint exercises, international exhibitions, war games require specialists, who are react standard non-standard communicative situations. author focuses on necessity professionally oriented approach language definition purposes. Special attention paid notion assessment its peculiarities at ESP class. Apart from being communicative, systematic, diagnostic, developing educational, professionally-oriented, so existing methods it should modified meet requirements future profession. This research paper aimed identifying advantages quest-oriented form over traditional one proving with help experiment that quest appropriate forms evaluating students’ progress include observations competency development (80 students were observed throughout two years); comparative analysis examination results. shown creates situations realistic way. Such designed profession-oriented enable teacher assess level skill enhance motivation. presents models tasks involving all skills can adapted other spheres. outcomes this may high value teachers dedicated creating effective classes.
